At Devonshire House Dental Practice we are happy to offer 3 care plans: Denplan Care, Denplan Essentials and Plans for Children.

 DENPLAN CARE

  • Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you pay for your routine and restorative dental treatment.
  • The amount you pay is decided by your dentist and is based on your oral health and how much dental treatment you will need.
  • After an initial assessment by the dentist of your oral health (for which you may be charged) you will be placed into one of five fee categories.
  • Denplan Care includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.

Denplan Care includes:

  • Check-ups
  • Hygiene treatment (including scaling and polishing)
  • Dental x-rays
  • Necessary fillings
  • Preventive dental advice and therapy
  • Any necessary extractions
  • Periodontal (gum) treatment
  • Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
  • Root canal treatment.

Denplan Care does not cover:

  •  Laboratory fees and prescriptions
  • Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates
  • Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
  • Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist, except when you need temporary emergency dental treatment
  • Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
  • Sedation fees.

Please remember – your routine dental treatment is at the discretion of your dentist and your contract is with your dentist, not Denplan.

 

DENPLAN ESSENTIALS

  • Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care
  • Seeing your dentist regularly is important as it can help you avoid having to undergo costly, restorative treatments
  • The dental plan is easy to set up and no pre-assessment is necessary
  • Your dentist will decide how often he wants to see you and how much he will charge you
  • You will have to pay for any restorative dental treatment necessary (ie. crowns, bridges or fillings)
  • Denplan Essentials also includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.

Denplan Essentials includes:

  • Check-ups (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
  • Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatment (up to the maximum detailed in your Contract)
  • Dental x-rays
  • Any additional treatment specified as included by the dentist in your contract
  • Preventive dental advice.

Denplan Essentials does not cover:

  • Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
  • Laboratory fees and prescriptions
  • Any treatment excluded by the dentists in your contract which is payable by you to the dentist
  • Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
  • Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
  • Sedation fees.

 PLANS FOR CHILDREN

  •  Plans for Children is a flexible payment plan which is ideal for making sure your child gets the best possible dental care from an early age.
  • The category your child is placed in is based on the condition of their oral health and the amount of treatment they will need.
  • The dental plan focuses on preventive care by providing you with an easy and economical way to pay for your child to have regular dental check-ups.  This is fundamental if the early signs of tooth decay or abnormalities are to be picked up and treated quickly.
  • Plans for Children also includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline.

A. Your dentist will arrange a start date for your Denplan Care contract. This date will be entered onto your contract and will always fall on the first day of the month. Your supplementary Insurance will commence from the start date fo your contract, or Denplan’s receipt of your registration form, whichever is later.

A. Under Denplan Care, the emphasis is placed on preventative dental care. This means that your dentist will work towards stopping dental problems before they occur. This will help improve and maintain your dental health. Your Denplan dentist will explain your particular care and treatment needs.

A. Your Denplan dentist determines your fee category. This is based on your existing dental condition. Your dentist may have completed the ‘Oral Check’ section on your assessment form. If so, this will highlight the scoring system used as a basis.

You are in contract with your dentist. Denplan provides administration services to support the contract between you and your dentist. This includes passing your payments on to your dentist on a regular basis. A small percentage of your monthly payment is retained by Denplan to cover administration and your Supplementary Insurance.

A. Denplan Care benefits the whole family. Where more than one member of a family (or payment group) is registered with any Denplan dentist at one practice, the following discounts apply: 2 group members – 5% 3 group members – 10% 4 or more group members – 15% Please note, all payments must be collected using the same method of payment (Direct Debit) and all correspondence will be sent to the payer’s address only. If you would like to benefit from these discounts, please contact your Denplan dentist.

A. You can choose to pay your subscription monthly by Direct Debit, or annually in advance, either by Direct Debit, cheque or by credit/ debit card to Denplan. Annual payments are calculated on a calendar year basis.

A. The registration fee is a one off payment equal to your monthly subscription. This will debited from your bank account during the first month of your contract. It will cover Denplan’s initial administration costs to arrange your Supplementary Insurance.

A. Yes. You can cancel your contract at any time by giving at least 21 days’ notice by telephone, or in writing, to your dentist and to Denplan. The contract with your dentist will then end on the last day of the month which next occurs. Further details can be found on the reverse of the contract that you have signed with your dentist.
